Allergy Testing

Marshfield Veterinary Service’s first option in treating your pet’s allergies and secondary skin and ear infections are with oral medications, topical treatments or medicated baths.

If your pet is allergic to a protein in pet food, we may suggest a food trial with a limited ingredient pet food. In the event that an environmental allergen could be causing your pet’s allergies, we may recommend a blood sample be sent to an outside lab for identification of the specific allergy.
