Dr. Jessica Southwick - large animal veterinarian - Marshfield Veterinary Service - Marshfield, WI 

Dr. Jessica Southwick

Dr. Southwick is co-owner of Marshfield Veterinary Service and large animal practitioner with a special interests in milk quality, mastitis culturing, and fetal sexing with ultrasound.  She was raised on a dairy farm that was converted to beef and pigs in West Salem.  She received a biology degree at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa prior to attending the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine.  She graduated in May 2012 and received the ABS Global Award for best clinical proficiency in bovine medicine and surgery in her class.  She resides with her husband Kyle, her son Turner and daughter Ellie on a hobby farm. She enjoys fishing, hunting and cheering for the Packers, Badgers and Brewers. 

 

 

Dr. John Wielinski

Dr. John Wielinski

Dr. John Wielinski is co-owner of Marshfield Veterinary Service and works as a small animal practitioner. He graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. He worked as a small animal vet in Minnesota Twin Cities for 2 years. He joined the Marshfield Veterinary Service team in 2018. His areas of interest include dentistry, dermatology and ophthalmology. He spends his free time with his wife, two children and two mixed breed dogs he got from the Caribbean. He enjoys backpacking, hiking, playing volleyball and the occasional board game.

 

  

Dr. Victoria Monroe

Dr. Victoria Monroe

Dr. Monroe is a large animal practitioner who primarily works with dairy cattle but also enjoys working with goats, sheep, and beef cattle. She graduated from St. George's University in 2019 and then completed an internship at Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine before joining the Marshfield team in March of 2021. Dr. Monroe lives in Marshfield with her two cats she adopted in the Caribbean, Marmu and Ripley. In her free time she enjoys reading, hiking, and playing video games with her friends.

  

 

Dr. Jennifer Staus

Dr. Jennifer Staus completed her Animal Science undergraduate degree (emphasis in dairy) from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in 1995. She received her degree in veterinary medicine from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1999. She practiced in Watertown, WI, for 7 years prior to moving back to her hometown of Merrill, WI. She enjoys scuba diving, fishing, reading and being outdoors. She lives with her husband, Steve and their dog, Marley.

 

Dr. Katie Osborne

Dr. Katie Osborne is a large animal practitioner from central Pennsylvania were she grew up on her family’s dairy farm.  From her dairy background, she enjoys working alongside dairy farmers to help improve animal health and has particular interest in milking parlor evaluations and employee education.  She earned a degree in Biology with a minor in Spanish from Wake Forest University and graduated from Michigan State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. In addition to being a vet, Dr. Katie and her husband, Nate, own Two-Doc Livestock, raising club lambs. In her spare time, she enjoys running, hiking, and scuba diving.

Dr. Nate Ernst is a large animal associate from the upper peninsula of Michigan where he grew up on his family’s farm raising beef cattle and goats. Dr. Nate received his Bachelor’s degree in animal science in 2018 and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2022 both from Michigan State University. While in school, he developed a strong interest and skillset in dairy cattle medicine, with special interests in nutrition and reproductive management. When he’s not working, Dr. Nate enjoys hunting, fishing and raising show lambs.

Dr. Jon Strupp

Dr. Jon Strupp is a mixed animal practitioner from Oakfield, WI, near Fond du Lac. He earned a degree in Zoology from UW-Madison in 2013 and worked as a licensed veterinary technician for 5 years at a small animal clinic that specialized in canine reproduction. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in 2022 and joined the Marshfield team shortly after graduating. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, golf, and most other sports except soccer (sorry soccer fans). He also loves to watch the brewers, badgers, and packers.
