Dr. Robert Zubowski - bovine practioner, farm animal, and exotic hooftstock veterinarian

Dr. Robert Zukowski:

Dr. Zukowski is a co-owner of MVS.  He graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Veterinary Medicine in 1981.  He is primarily a bovine practioner but sees a variety of farm animals and exotic hoofstock.  Dr. Zukowski was born in France and grew up on his family's 60 cow registered Holstein dairy farm in Thorp, WI.  He enjoys travelling having visited England, Israel, Turkey, Syria, and Egypt.  He enjoys reading, hunting/fishing, and plays tennis, volleyball, and softball. 

 

 

Dr. Carolyn Deegan: 

Dr. Deegan is a co-owner of MVS and graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in 1987.  She is primarily a dairy practitioner but enjoys working on other farm animals.  She grew up in Detroit, Michigan and moved to a small farm in Clintonville, WI where her parents currently reside.  After graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Deegan practiced in Ashland for one year and then moved to Marshfield.  Her hobbies include:  volleyball, tennis, skiing, and gardening.

 

 

 

Dr. Daniel Demaske: 

Dr. Demaske is an associate veterinarian at MVS and works primarily as a bovine practitioner.  He graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in 1999.  He grew up on a Guernsey dairy farm in Mauston, WI.  He enjoys the outdoors, especially hunting.  He likes anything mechanical, from farm machinery to cars.  Dr. Demaske lives with his wife Oksana and their cat, Daisy.

 

 

 

Dr. Jessica Southwick:

Dr. Southwick is a large animal practitioner with a special interests in milk quality, mastitis culturing, and fetal sexing with ultrasound.  She was raised on a dairy farm that was converted to beef and pigs in West Salem.  She received a biology degree at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa prior to attending the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine.  She graduated in May 2012 and received the ABS Global Award for best clinical proficiency in bovine medicine and surgery in her class.  She resides with her husband Kyle, her son Turner and daughter Ellie on a hobby farm. She enjoys fishing, hunting and cheering for the Packers, Badgers and Brewers. 

 

 

 

Dr. Ann Wenzel:

Dr. Wenzel is an associate veterinarian and works as a large animal practitioner.  She grew up in Fond du Lac and received a degree in biology from Marian University.  She went on to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign for her veterinary degree in 2015.  Dr. Wenzel practiced in central Michigan for almost 2 years prior to moving to Marshfield.  In her free time, she like playing sports and enjoying the outdoors.

 

 

 

Dr. Maren Raab:

Dr. Raab is an associate veterinarian and works as a small animal practitioner.  She earned her veterinary degree in her hometown of Madison from the University of Wisconsin in 2016. Dr. Raab enjoys caring for small mammals and birds in addition to dogs and cats. She also has a special interest in camelids, having worked with llamas and alpacas from Oregon to Peru, and hopes to have a herd of her own someday.  Outside of work, she loves baking, traveling, and a good cup of coffee. 

 

Dr. Samantha McDonald:

Dr. McDonald is an associate veterinarian and works as a small animal practitioner. She is a 2016 graduate from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. Her areas of special interest include animal behavior, internal medicine and preventative medicine. She resides with her husband, Nate, and their 3 cats, dog, horse and rabbit in Arpin, WI. They one day want to begin their own hobby farm, complete with cattle and chickens. When time allows, Dr. McDonald enjoys camping, reading, horseback riding and spending time with friends and family.

 

Dr. Ann Deiss - Veterinarian

Dr. Ann Deiss:

Dr Ann Deiss is a native of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin and graduated in the first class of the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. Previous to coming to Marshfield Vet Service in 2016, she owned and practiced at a small animal clinic in Fond du Lac for nearly 20 years. Currently, she serves as a small animal practitioner, small animal hospital administrator, and trainer.

Dr Ann lives in Antigo with her new husband, 2 dogs and a feral (now tame) cat. She has 3 adult children and is an avid gardener.
